This is no film set. Experience a taste of the history that was made on these infamous beaches in June 1944, along
with landmarks, cemeteries and museums associated with this great event.
Where you will be staying
Ibis Caen Centre Hotel
Located in the heart of the historic city. The hotel has a bar, restaurant and lift to all floors. All rooms are en suite.
What you will be doing
Day 1 A morning departure to Dover and our ferry crossing to Calais. We continue through France and on to our hotel.
Day 2 A full day excursion along the Normandy coastline. Firstly visiting the impressive museum of the Caen Memorial and then on to Pegasus Bridge before a drive along the landing Beaches of Sword, Juno and Gold. We then travel to Arromanches to the Mulberry Harbour Museum.
Day 3 A full day excursion to the American landing zones, starting at Ste. Mère Eglise, the first town to be liberated, and its American Airborne Museum. We travel to Utah Beach, Pointe du Hoc and Omaha Beach American cemetery and inland to Bayeux, famous for its tapestry and also the location of the largest British and Commonwealth cemetery in Normandy.
LAST DAY We depart for Calais and our ferry crossing to Dover, arriving home during the evening.
